Mg Demos

Recommended Posts

Which MG demo is your favourite and why?

-> mine would have to be Dancing Invisible and because of how matt portrays it, he really tells it as if hes telling you a story. and its just a good song, plain and simple.

Just a suggestion, if someone agrees or disagrees plz voice your opinion, Matt Good... sell your demos on a cd i know your loyal fans would buy them to complete the collection. I would, and they are mostly good songs which are near impossible to get a hold of, legally or illegally. So if they are wanted why not make some money off of it?

Any fan of Matt should know by now that he isn't in it for the money. If he was I'm pretty sure he would be a huge success around North America.

And as for his demos, he hates them! Why? Because its like reading a story that you wrote as a child, it probably sucks shit and makes you laugh at the storyline! He feels the same way about those demos.

i would buy them

I already did, one of them at least.

If you really want to buy the demos, hunt like crazy and buy the original tapes. They exist and can be bought for an unfair price.

There are other considerations about releasing a new compilation anyways, such as providing revenue to the other members of his various bands at the time. Add legal fees to that and say goodbye to any potential for profit (not that there ever was much).

ok but i was saying shut up to anyone that felt like making fun of me for saying i would buy a cd of shitty demos for purposes of collecting.

I think there are many of us here who would buy a shitty demo album simply for the sake saying that they own it.

Those people are losers. LOSERS.

*Cough*

I second that.

I am the same way.

The thing is once you have almost everything you feel dumb saying you have almost everthing. You need to be able to say "Ya I have everything. I mean Everything!"

I adore Parable and Break in the Rhythm. and speaking of, i destroyed the sound quality of the tracks i have collected over the years. they're all fuzzy. anyone have an original set that HASN'T been burned to a cd and re-ripped? 'cause that's how i killed mine. ;) all i have left to offer in trade are video clips of interviews, specials, and other television appearances.

i got my hands on a burned copy of the demos. it came yesterday in the mail so i'm pretty psyched about it. the easiest way to do it is to go here. if you make a minimum $10 donation to a select few organizations, then send him a screen shot as proof you did it with your name and address on it, he'll send you the 2 cd's with demo stuff on it. i thought it was a great idea. that way this guy isn't making any money off of it (which makes it legal) and you're helping a good cause.

It's still wrong if he's doing it without permission of the artist.

That's like saying I'll mail you a copy of the new Red Hot Chili Peppers CD that comes out next month if you donate $15 to the Ronald McDonald House.
