Great Band. They have been around since the eighties and I think anyone who digs the experimental rock acts like radiohead or even tool would dig this.

 

Their early music was pretty out there...even a bit funky, the albums they released in the nineties were the best in my opinion... though their latest albums "In Abesntia" and "Deadwing" are pretty kickass as well.

I don't know much about their earlier stuff but I'm a big fan of their newer material. "Trains" is probably my favourite song.

 

This is one of those bands where they have such a large catalogue that I'm just to lazy to go and dowload everything and check it out. But I know that their newer stuff = good shite.

Porcupine Tree have been confirmed for the following festival appearances in June:

 

17th June - Greenfield Festival, Interlaken, Switzerland

(PT to appear on main stage @ 4pm for a 45 minute performance). Bill also includes Smashing Pumpkins, Incubus, Bullet for my Valentine, Editors, The Bravery.

 

23rd June - Southside Festival, Neuhausen, Germany

(PT to appear for a 60 minute main stage performance at approximately 4.30pm). Bill also includes Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth, Kings of Leon.

 

24th June, Hurricane Festival, Scheesel, Germany

(PT to appear for a 60 minute main stage performance at approximately 4.30pm).Bill also includes Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth, Kings of Leon.
