I'm not all that big of a fan of their first CD, but their new track sounds pretty awesome. They sound a lot more polished now than they were before, which is probably the Ryan Dahle influence on their new record.

Apparently I was under the wrong impression, but Ryan Dahle was only the Studio Tech and did some equipment rentals for BT too during the album. Anyways, I really like Billy Talent II, there's a few songs that are only okay, but the rest is really good stuff.

This is true.

Fuck yeah, I'm seeing them play this Saturday for Canada Day; Foxfest. Can't wait.

How is there no depth, the lyrics are as every bit political as Matthew Good's however, there's no references to Bush and the U.S.' foreign policy in every song. As for the music, it's just meant to be something that's "fun" and gets people listening to it, there's truly nothing wrong with that.

I'm listening to the new CD now. Haven't listened to any complete songs yet, but from just browsing around it seems pretty decent. I'm really digging Sympathy. Crappy lyrics, but funky melody.

Edit: Wow, just a few minutes later and the shallowness is starting to show. But whatever; for a brainless 'fun' album it isn't bad.

The lyrics on this album aren't as good as the last, but its a good rockout album nonetheless.

I hate Red Flag though, that song sucks balls.

Awesome cd. I find the lyrics to be the strong point of this album on songs like "Worker Bee", and also "Where is the line", which makes me think a lot of the many foolish people on this forum who dismiss a band for simply being to popular, for example....Billy Talent, U2, Green Day. By the way, kick ass cd.

The problem is there are some shallow lyrics that over shadow the well put together ones unfortunately. But, generally the songs with shallow lyrics have good tunes, which kind have balances it out I suppose.
