Matthew Good - Hospital Music

Recommended Posts

Are we sure that he's not producing? he might be co-producing..?

I think Dan Lilly would have taken a picture of him by now. Based on the pictures, my assumption is that Zach Blackstone and Matt are co-producing, and Zach will be engineering as he has on previous records. Maybe there was a scheduling conflict with Warne?

All just shots in the dark, though.

i think Metal Airplanes and She's In It For The Money are solid. say what you want about cliche lyrics, but the songs themselves seem to flow well and they're just plain catchy. works for me. that said, i hope Matt succeeds in making this record kind of "weird," like he's mentioned before.

Warne's website mentions his "upcoming projects" as Rally Car and Mark Hildreth (though that info doesn't appear to have been updated in at least the last two months).

This is just idle speculation on my part, but maybe he feels that he really needs to focus on his own studio, the Command Centre, that opened in Victoria last November. Or as mentioned above, it could just be a scheduling conflict. Either way, I'm still hopeful that the recording sessions will produce great results.

I find myself writer, producer, and primary musician sixteen hours a day of late, so please excuse the lack of entries.

From www.matthewgood.com,

I think that means no Warne. Though I can't complain about the job he's done in the past, I think it's great that Matt's doing things a little different this time around.
