I think that was one of the most boring movies ive seen in a long time...there were only 2 frigin action scenes in the whole movie! Save your money people and rent some porn.

You can still have a good and interesting movie with less action. But, Michael Mann fucked that up. The story itself was overdrawn, it should have had at least a half hour hacked off. It jumped around too much, and made little to no sense. Plus, I didn't care at all for any of the characters, they were like cardboard cutouts.

Agreed that was awesome. I also felt that less action scenes made the ones at the end seem way, way more awesome. The whole audience literally gasped and I exclaimed "Holy fuck!" at both the "stab, stab, shoot" and the blast through the brain sections.

When a movie is titles as an action movie...Im going to the theater expecting to see an action movie...this was by far one of the most boring "action" movies I've seen..one of the most boring movies in general.

And I most certainly do not need action to keep me satisfied. I generally tend to dislike action movies.

If you're going to rely on the internet to tell you what kind of a movie it is, then alright. But also notice that crime, DRAMA and thriller is also in there. I don't see why you rely on labels, especially when IMDB lists Talledega Nights as an action movie, and a movie like Resevoir Dogs has all the same tags as this movie except Action, which is warrented because as there was shooting and such in ReseDogs, it was for a seperate purpose and it all took place in one location.

That was just an example...go look at the Farell on leno if you want another example. He even said on that show that it was going to be an action movie.

Look at the trailer for it, would you think it was an action movie from the trailers?

No, I was expecting them to put the dialouge portions of the film into the trailer. That's what brings the people in. I saw a raid portion of the film and then boats, women, guns and planes which the film had in abundance. And regardless, it is an action movie, with added portions.

Alright, alright. Let's stop this action crap. Technically, it's a crime drama, ala Collateral and LA Confidential. Regardless of if there was enough action or not, I found it boring. I really don't think it would have been any better with more action either. I just didn't care for any of the characters and I found the overall plot to be messed up from the beginning.

But, if you liked it, you liked it. I didn't.

I totally agree. There wasn't anything intriguing about the characters, and the plot sucked balls. Collateral was great because there was action and some cool characters in the movie. Miami had zero action, little to no style, and it just seemed like one big porn because all Jamie Foxx and Colin did was have sex in an inefficient attempt to prove that they are not gay.

I agree that it was boring. I have no problem watching a good mystery, thriller, etc. It's just this was overdrawn and went on for far too long.
