AnOceanPearl
For the acoustic tour, in the final chorus of "Sort of a Protest Song" he sings "I'm tired of watching them wind me up to see if I'll run".
Emu
Also, these are both incorrect. The line in the album is "In the wilderness, the only place to find freedom is in the dictionary." And the live version is "In the wilderness the only place to find freedom is in the dictionary; under the English F" You might want to give your album another spin then because the line is absolutely "In the wilderness, the only place to find freedom is in the dictionary, under F. Men in holes, men in caves..." etc
Headache
When I saw Matt Good in a full band concert he sung 21 Century living but only the chorus. No ranting, not talking, just instrumental, then the chorus. It was a little disapointing.
glorifiedjam
A couple of slight changes... Haven't Slept in Years in maybe '99/'00 (played atleast twice anyways): "Make me your cannibal make me your product and i will make you rich" Matt adds a spoken "like the Backstreet Boys" or something similar... My favorite lyric adjustment is no longer done, this would have been a while ago too in Everything is Automatic: "One day you'll decompose And you wake up and those Those birds are singing" Instead of repeating "Those birds are singing" The line was "Here I am... here I've always been" and then back into the familiar chorus. You guys are great for posting all your boots & lyrics, thank you!

In Future is X-rated: Power's just another one of those things baby, it's pointless if you ain't gunna abuse it.

No ranting, not talking, just instrumental, then the chorus. It was a little disapointing. I've seen a video from one of his live shows and am diggin that version of it. Does anyone have an mp3 of a live version of 21st Century Living they are willing to share?

I prefer the "power's just another one of those things baby, it's pointless if you ain't gonna whip it out and use it" line myself.

I knew there was a spoken word one that I LOVED and it was killing me that I couldn't think of what the song/line was... Is that how it's done in the Snowjob 99 show that I haven't listened to in years?

johnerwin
Well it was a pretty basic lyric, listening to a few recordings here is what I hear: He didn't play it at the 2003 Vancouver show; I have it appearing on the following recordings: 2002-05-19 (Cayuga) 2002-09-13 (London) 2002-09-14 (Halifax) 2003-04-11 (Toronto) 2003-07-16 (St. Catherines) 2003-07-19 (Sarnia) Of those the April 11/2003 one is the best sounding, so go to it here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=985D36X1 (8.4MB). This is also a great song because just as the song starts rocking Matt yells "Rich" into the mic and continues to give it. I'm not sure why, but that one moment stands out as a favorite of MG recordings. You wouldnt mind posting it again would you?
