Recommended Posts

You homies. Yeah, it's me. I rock I know.

But I just got accepted to SAIT in Calgary. I'm going to move out there at the end of December. But here's the thing, I don't have a place to live/stay.

Does anyone want a roommate? Or know of anywhere to live???

i know it's really, REALLY early to ask this, but yeah...I live all the way in Victoria and it's going to be a bitch to find a place to live.

But whatever. YAY FOR ME!!! 7th school I got accepted to!!!

Other schools I got accepted to:

UNBC

Malaspina University College

Camosun College

NAIT

Red Deer College

UBC

SFU.

I had UNBC, NAIT and Red Deer begging for me. So stick that in your pipe and smoke!!

But in all seriousness, I neeeed a place to live... Or if someone could help me find a place...

PS. Are there any Calgary forumers???? I don't know!!

well sait is more specialized then lots of courses at univiersities, and its a lot smaller groups. i guess it depends what u wanna do. like at sait all your classes are picked for ya, but they all are helpful towards what u wanna do. unlike univ, where u could be taking engineering, but you have to have something to fil space, so u take psych. see, personally i think sait is better, not just cause i go there, but because there isnt any time wasted on other crap.

you're going to regret it.

No you won't regret it. Any school like SAIT will leave you with a way better chance of getting a decent job when you graduate. Plus with the smaller class sizes you really get to know some of the people you go to school with instead of sitting in a psych lecture with 300 other people.

As for housing I'd say look online in the renter's sites and calgary herald and calgary sun. It's really difficult to find a place to stay right now so it would be a good idea to start looking early.

congrats and good luck!

the thing about universities is that you don't have to waste time on crap that you don't want to. if you are going into english, there are like 10 different first year english courses you could take. and if you get permission, you can get into second year classes.

Yeah, I was looking at the SAIT off campus housing list and the UofC off campus housing list too.

I'll find something or other. It's just going to be a bitch of a time.

And hot_carl or whatever your old name was, why would I regret it?

Everyone I know in University has some classes they have, just to meet some sort of gay requirement. And they always mention that they have no idea why they are taking said courses.

With a school like SAIT there is no bullshit (or at least almost none). You get the skills/information you need and there are no random retarded classes you need to take.

Not to mention you are done school and working in about half the time (or in some cases 4 times faster) typically.

You are going to regret leaving this beautiful island for Alberta. Believe me.. just wait, you will miss the ocean and greenery so much.

As for finding a place in Calgary... good luck !

Actually I'll talk to a friend of mine who is moving there soon... could possibly hook you up with a roommate?

I motherfucking hate fucking Vancouver Island. I want it to sink to the bottom of the fucking Pacific and before that I want Victoria to have a major earthquake.

So there. I hate Vancouver Island and BC for that matter. Beauty is not the only reason for me to stay somewhere. I think Calgary and Alberta is beautiful. I love winters. I love extream weather.

Anyway, I'm applying for student housing at SAIT.
