cool. aside from every nin song, i haven't heard any of those. i've also got a ton of miles davis that's great but i honestly couldn't put a name to a song if someone through on a miles davis record. i probably couldn't even tell him from other trumpet players. i just wanted some jazz for when the mood hit me so i downloaded a bunch of his early stuff.

Thanks lovingly to Kevin, I am ALL over Mono, they're an awesome band.

 

Not any specific songs, but my favourite instrumental artists would probably be Wim Mertens and Kevin Kearn. They both have some awesomely chill piano pieces.

 

Laugh if you will, but Enya's also pretty damn chill.

 

And Aphex Twin is awesome

 

There's also a new age duo called 2002, and that's got some amazingly soothing stuff.

 

Video game music is always great for a good hit of instrumental goodness ;)

i am going to say the soundtrack for "requiem for a dream".  I knwo it is a strange answer but i like the music they put into the movie.

Aw man, I was gonna say that too! Summer & Winter overtures are so good.

Man from Harold Wood is cool from Matt. Herb Alpert I listen to a lot, all instrumental. Chris O'Riley has released two amazing CD's, he plays Radiohead on piano, and it's phantasmic. Other than that, it's basically a lot of movie soundtracks.

 

My friend Jeff and I have determined that if it ever were to have one, Requiem for a Dream would be Earths theme song/anthem. It's soooo epic. Aliens would come and be like "OH SHIT! CAN YOU HEAR THAT!?? THAT IS ONE EPIC SPECIES!!"

Hah, you're welcome again. :angry: I bought their latest, but I think I really should've gotten one of the older albums because I seem to like their older songs a bit more.

 

And yes the videogame music is cool, especially by Uematsu. :angry: By the way, you never did say if you have a myspace account!

 

 

I was gonna say Man From Harold Wood! I was actually thinking about it at work today.

 

Listening to a good one right now: Chicane - Empires. It actually sounds a lot like Hybrid, I thought it was them at first.

 

How about Led Zeppelin - Bonzo's Montreaux?
