She's In It For The Money:

==========================

You have to tune to regular tuning with your e string down to D EADGBD

Verse + Bride (In this town when the sun comes down...):

Em C Am C C/B Em

Chorus:

Em C G (for the G, you have to strech your pinky to the fift fret 320035)

Black Helicopter:

=================

Verse

Am C G F

Chorus

F Am

As for the "lead" you can figure it out easily with these chords and by listening to the song

Black Helicopterrr

I tabbed the whole song and submitted it to mgtabarchive, and i got a reply saying he'd put it up, but i don't think it's there yet. But anyway someone else already but the chords.

Play Riff 1 over Am then again over C

Then play Riff 2 over G

Then Riff 1 again over F

This sounds best with a 1mm or thicker pick in my opinion.

Riff 1

------------------------------------------

----------------3-------5/6-6-6-6-5-5-----

--------5---------------------------------

--3h5p3---3h5p3---3h5p3-------------------

------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------

Riff 2

------------------------------------------

----------------3-------5-5-5/6-6/8-8\6-6-

--------5---------------------------------

--3h5p3---3h5p3---3h5p3-------------------

------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------

Matthew Good

She's In It For The Money

tab by Jason C.

Song is in standard tuning

Basically wherever the Em chord is played, play it like in the intro as an open chord then play the open B string note, then play the B string on the 1st fret like shown below. Same goes with the C chord.

As with my other tabs if the tab below isn't lining up for you in regards to spacing let me know and i'll send you the file. It gets all screwed up when I copy and paste from notepad.

Intro:

E----0---------0--------------0--------0---0---0----------

B----0(0-1)--1--------1-----1(0-1)--1---1---0(0-1)-----

G----0--------0----------0---2---------0---2---0----------

D----2--------2-(0-2)-------2---------2---2---2----------

A----2--------3---------------0---------3---0---2----------

E----0--------0---------------0---------0---0---0----------

Em-----------------C

In love with your pills

Am------------C-------Am

now i can get rid of myself

Em---------------C

if all of this kills

Am----------------C--------Am

then why am i so hard on myself?

Em-------------------C

in this town when the sun goes down

----Am---------------C

you party, i pay the bills

Em-----------------C---------------Am-------------C

and in this room i look around at everything i've built

Am----------Em-------C

and it don't mean a thing

Am----------Em--------C

ain't it terrible to think?

Em

she's in it for the money, you know

C--------------------G

love don't cost a thing

Em

you can build your heart a diamond

C---------------------G

and it don't need no ring

Em-------------------------------C----------G

it gets me lying sideways, and everytime i sing

------Em

she's in it for the money, you know

C-------------------G

love don't mean a thing

------Em

she's in it for the money, you know

C-------------------G

love don't mean a thing

Em, C

Em--C-----G-----------G/F---Am

patty, shine a light down on me tonight

Em----C-------G---------------G/F----Am

too tired to charge and die, and not take nothing

Em--C----G------------G/F----Am-----Em

patty, shine a light down on me tonight

--------Am----------C

straight down on me tonight...

Em------------------C

in love with your pills

Am----------C----------Am

tried to get rid of myself

Em---------------------C

a little red, a little blue

Am--------------------C

climb the wall, how 'bout you?

Am----------Em---------C

and it don't mean a thing

Am---------Em----------C

ain't it terrible to think?

Em

she's in it for the money, you know

C--------------------G

love don't cost a thing

Em

you can build your heart a diamond

C----------------------G

and it don't need no ring

Em-------------------------------C-----------G

it gets me lying sideways, and everytime i sing

Em

she's in it for the money, you know

C--------------------G

love don't mean a thing

Em

she's in it for the money, you know

C--------------------G

love don't mean a thing

Em

she's in it for the money, you know

C--------------------G

love don't mean a thing

I've played the intro different and think it sounds more like it, but that's just me. The rest of what you've got sounds about right.

Standard Tuning

Intro:

E----0---------0--------------0--------0---0---0----------

B----0-------1---------------1(0-1)--1----1---0----------

G----0--------0--------------2---------0---2---0----------

D----2(0-2)--2-(0-2)-------2---------2---0---2----------

A----2--------3---------------0---------3---X---2----------

E----0--------0---------------0---------0---3---0----------

Well if you've been to a show, you would know that he tunes down his e string before he starts and keeps it that way through Sort of a Protest Song

Well good sir I will give you the benefit of the doubt as the last show I was able to see of him was when he was with a full band at the marquee in halifax. So I've never seen him live acoustic, because he hasn't come back to the maritimes for so long! Anyways I tried detuning my e string and it sounds good that way as well, and it probably is the way he plays it. But really either way sounds fine if you don't want to bother detuning your e.

Yeah I hear a difference but I'm annoyingly perfectionist ;)

But yeah throughout the acoustic show he kept detuning and retuning his last e string.

And thank you for the benefit of the doubt
