Musically we are miles apart....but I am a fan of Matt Good the person. When you're stuck in a stinky van in the middle of nowhere you tend to start hating people for no good reason.

It's been 10+ years and I have nothing but respect for him.

I think I take a little bit of that band with me every time I go into the rehearsal space.

True.

I think Geoff needs real-er questions. Charles should get online.

Gee thanks Anton. :-)

Geoff, are there any bassists out there that you really like?

How do you feel about Rich Priske's playing compared to yours?(This isn't meant to be anything more than what it is, just an honest comparison.)

You mentioned that a lot of your parts were on the fly...Vermillion, Fearless, and Symbolistic White Walls, strike me as almost flawless. Did it take a lot of takes to hammer out your parts?

(Okay fun question)

Any practical jokers in MGB?

Adding to that...

Underdogs is what got me in to MGB to begin with (after hearing Apparitions, I think, but I guess that's fairly common). It was actually the first CD I ever bought/owned. Any particular favourite tracks from that one?

Now that I play guitar there seems to be a lot of bass players that I overlooked when I was a bass player...Paul Simminon comes to mind. The psychobilly guys I'll keep to myself!!!LOL!!!

Any good solid players like Rich are always in HIGH demand.

The guy's got gritty tone fer WEEKS and he's a machine!!!I used his rig to record Underdogs 'cause it was the only rig that I couldn't blow up!!!LOL!!!True.I think we went through 4 or 5 SVT's....blew 'em all up!!!

The bass parts just wrote themselves...When you work with someone as talented as Matt you don't have to think too much about writing a part....it just "is".I just played the song.In the studio Warne called me a "one take wonder".Just nail the part and go fer beers!!!LOL!!!

Practical jokes? The road crew....We had this porn thing...aw..nevermind!!!LOL!!!

The whole thing was fun to record. It was my b-day during that session and I got the traditional "BIG beer" and a tequila lime pie from "The Megalator" [who, by the way I just ran into at the airport in Ottawa of all places!!!]

Strangest One of All. Kinda dig that one....

Rico was another one. We thought we were done and Matt came whipping in and say's "GOT ANOTHER ONE!!!".

I think we jammed that one 4-5 times and boom another track!!!

You just broke many people's hope of seeing you two being rivals, the MG community could have had they're own little Britney VS Christina thing...

That's quite a bit of sonic fury!!!

I thoroughly enjoy the way both of you impact the songs. You both have a way of making your presence felt.

"One Take Wonder" I can believe that. Why did you switch to guitar? Really great bassists don't grow on trees.

Porn thing, enlighten us?
