The Silversun Pickups

awesome band I recently discovered. I've heard them described as the combination of all your favorite bands of the 90's.

 

i hear them sounding like Canadian Pop-Rock of 94-98, Limblifter, Age Of Electric, Sloan, and so on.

 

Their last release is Carnavas. Has anyone heard and loves this?

I LOVE Silversun Pickups. I'm very surprised that more people don't know about them.

 

Carnavas is definitely on my top of 2006.

i read a review before i bought it that said, "putting this album in your stereo, you run the risk of never taking it out."

I've been listening to their first disc, Pikul for awhile...They Are beyong kickass!!!! Shiri, you must get it. :-) The Rock...maybe a little like Smashing Pumpkins/Pixies...Just Fucking awesome!!!

The song that got me hooked on them was Well Thought Out Twinkles. I couldn't stop listening to it.

Their Website art is pretty neat. However, the music is about the most boring shit I've heard...It is hard to believe the singer from Wheatus found another band to sing in.

Everyone has a right to an opinion...I actually liked Wheatus, somewhat...Silversun Pickups, are a vast improvement over that.

Normally with bands that I'm getting into I hate the singles, but with Silversun Pickups I loooove Lazy Eye and Well Thought Out Twinkles.
