I think its the crazy vocal effect things that make the album so hawt.

 

Most of Mogwai's other stuff is alright, but MEH.

how is it incredible?

 

i'm not being negative, i'd just like to hear your take on why.

I guess I really like the concept of it. The guy doesn't have a fantastic voice by any means but he sounds incredibly sincere to me. I'm also lyrically very fond of the album (Tracks like Two Headed By, Pt 2, In The Aeroplane Over The Sea, The King of Carrot Flowers Pt. 1, Oh Comely are fantastic) and the music only fuels the emotion for me; I actually find the album can be very moving at times.

 

It kinda flows kinda like a dream or bizarre disjointed reflection of one's life to me.
