Incubus Vs. Matt Good

much music was on the tv last night and i could have sworn the new incubus (i think its new) video was a DIRECT rip off of the symbolistic white walls video. the band playing in an open space, all facing away from each other, dave on piano, geoff on bass, matt singing right to the camera with a shot of the band behind him.... shot in the same order, with the same groove from the guys while they were playing. with cuts of other shit going on throughout the city. lighting was the same, shot sequences were the same.

 

it really fucked me up watching it, so if someone can find it on some website and take a look to confirm this, that would be great.

but aside from that, it's not the same at all. lots of videos have that same format. it's not like the video was creative in any way.

watch them one after the other or side by side. i know the band rocking out in an open space is a common theme, but the sequence in which they were shot is nearly identical.

 

 

mind you, at the time of viewing the video, i had consumed two caps of mdma and a little preoccupied by the finer things in life. anyways, watch them both and tell me they arent eerily similar in almost every way.

Incubus' likeness factor is just really up and down with me, they had some cool old stuff like New Skin and such, then Make Yourself was damn good, then... morning view... sucked. sucked big time. Crow Left of the Murder was good backtracking back on in to Rock music from bad pop. And as for this new one, i'm not so fond of it, and i think Ana-molly (or whatever) is a downer.

as an album i did very much like make yourself alot, but besides that id agree that besides the singles theres not to many other songs im a big fan of, its ok i guess but make yourself is a great album i think
