Bands With Staying Power?

Recommended Posts

like i said, you like them, that's a fact. that's not being debated. are they still relevant today? not so much. i don't see them being heavily promoted anywhere, nor was i even aware that they have a new album coming out. basically, they're hitting a minor demographic that doesn't, in any way, reflect staying power or relevance on a mass scale.

Maybe Rammstein... they've been doing quite well lately in Europe from what I hear, and probably not bad in the US for a German band. Plus they've been together since 93/94 (but didn't release a successful album until 94/95). They haven't so much as changed any band members sincxe they started. In contrast to one of their rival bands, Megaherz, which since its start in early 90's no longer has any of its original members.

tv on the radio

muse

interpol

my morning jacket

the dears

isis

these are all bands who i see having staying power, in the senses of both content as well as maintaining a strong fanbase.

Is that limited to Canada? Because no one gives a shit about any of those other than Interpol or Muse in the U.S.
