Now I love Van Halen, and I've known Gary Cherone for some time...but the Album he made with them, "Van Halen III", was one of the worst pieces of shit ever produced....not even the talent of Eddie, Alex, and Mike could salvage this stinker.

...the same way an artist themselves can hate an entire body of work that they have made (matt and his hate-on for the audio of being, up until recently). you can be critical of an artist's work while still being a big fan.

 

do fans of guns n roses have to like the spaghetti incident simply because their name is branded on it? heck no.

Yes, it's definitely possible. Usually it's the first album the artist recorded when they weren't really mature enough (could be in more ways than one: sound, production, writing and etc.) or it's the latest and they've taken a direction you aren't fond of.

But srsly, down to business. Advertising on Police Cars is one of my favorites off the album! I've never heard anyone say they didn't like that song!

 

Anyhow,

 

Radiohead - Anyone Can Play guitar

I dunno, lyrically it's not a bad song at all, but there's something about it that makes me want to skip the song everytime it plays.

 

The Knife - She's Having a Baby / Rock Classics

All their songs can't be winners, I guess.

 

Nick Drake - know / Parasite

Again, lyrically these songs are great, but there's just something about them... I can't help but to skip them most of the time.
