School Is Almost Over

EDIT: Holy fuck Lauren is hyperbole a completely lost art?

it would be a hyperbole if you were going to be getting above average action. but you won't be, i don't think. certainly more than you are getting now but compared to the average 23-5 year old male?

DO YOU EVEN FUCKING KNOW WHAT HYPERBOLE IS?

Jesus motherfucking christ. "Access to undergraduate pussy." Do you honestly think that I would give that as a remotely valid reason for going to grad school? In a stream of science where there aren't many women and the few that are there aren't known for being hot?

Graduate students are the best ever. Espeically since you NEVER see them around campus. It's like they exist in their own little alternate dimensions and come into this one when they have to help clueless undergrads with such basic shit as "The reaction will not work if you don't put indicator into the solution", and "Your reaction isn't working? Did you put the indicator in?"

I love how stupid undergrads are in all their labs. They never do anything right.

It should be noted that most Grad Students are holed up in the library because they're being academically prison fucked. It's kinda like in some programs where they try to scare a lot of kids out in the first few years.

I'm still convinced that when the calendar rolls over from April to May, the entire faculty is going to show up on my doorstep and yell "SURPRISE! YOU'RE NOT DONE YET! WRITE SIX MORE ESSAYS YOU FUCKER!" and then hand me a stack of forty papers to mark on top of it.

i do know what a hyperbole is. perhaps you don't. you seem to think it's exaggeration + sarcasm/irony but that's not necessarily the case.

This raises the question as to whether you're intelligent enough to know when I'm not being serious, or if you're just high on the fancy definitions they teach you in linguistics class and being a semantic douche.

I'm betting on a combination of the two.

EDIT: While we're on the topic of PHD's, Beth is about to get her doctorate in 2 weeks or so. We don't legally have to call her doctor but I'm totally doing it.

first of all, intelligence has nothing to do with being able to tell if someone is being serious or not. and we didn't go anywhere near hyperboles in lingiuistics because that's grammar and not semantics. i don't think they'd teach anything about hyperboles in university.
