I haven't seen "The Artist" but keep hearing about it. How'd that do at the box office? I'm assuming that a lot of people aren't going to turn out to watch a black and white silent movie.

 

And Rooney Mara shouldn't win anything for copying Noomi Rapace. Did the original Dragon Tattoo movie even get a nod in the Oscars?

Did you choose Gary Oldman because he was the best actor (Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy), or was it because he is your favorite actor, and you were rooting for him? I fall into the latter as that Jean guy was better in The Artist (great film). but not better overall, just like Mickey Rourke was better than Sean Penn earlier (The Wrestler vs. Milk) , but not better overall.
