Sadly racial profiling exists, and would even if it were illegal to do so. The question sucks in the way that it was asked, but that's exactly the way that law enforcement approaches it.

Thats just it, racial profiling is actually (In Canada at least) illegal. Police are not suppose to use it, of course there is profiling, but they cannot look simply for race. But of course, how do you prove it? That's the whole quandry.

Yes it does exist, legal or not. Cops look at who they arrest the most, and it forms their prejudices, or re-inforces them. Soon it becomes second nature, to operate from this viewpoint. It's a sad fact of life. One I've been the victim of, on more than one occasion.
