In class today at college, whilst everyone was working i wacked good old matty boy into the comp and played loadsa songs for like two hours lol. had loads of people asking who it was, by the end of the lesson...bout 5 people were all scanning through matt's site. haha. excellent...

I've actually always felt that Matt's music takes a bit of effort to really get into. Generally, I have to listen to a song several times before I really appreciate it. It's only after I really grasp the lyrics that I'm addicted.

 

That said, when sharing MG/MGB with friends I find that the faster pace ones are easiest for new listeners.

Everytime I've listened to a new album, it's taken me at least 3 times through before I really start getting into it.

 

My friend and I have been trying to put together a new-listener cd - but we keep disagreeing on the songs. He's a tough guy to get into - but often i find if I play Beautiful Midnight, people will at least ask who he is.
