Does anyone know what happened to the artist known as Wil? He opened for Matthew Good in Thunder Bay last year. I'de honestly say I thought he was a better performer than Matt and thats saying something. He had this song called the four string song where he cut all the strings on his guitar except for 4 and played this awesome song.. I bought his CD at the show and it had that song but it wasn't even close to the song he played live.

He was good live...friend of mine bought the CD and was less than impressed. So much energy that just doesn't translate into a studio recording I guess.

He's been doing dates here and there, nothing in Ontario though ;) He actually had Pat Steward backing him on a couple of the shows.

I'm rather anticipating the new 'live' sounding album.

Its true, Wil was kick ass, but the cd was a bit of a disapointment because it didnt capture the energy he puts out live, hopefully this new album will do some of that

Actually, I thought that the last song on the album, 'Both Hands (Off The Floor)' was pretty good in getting that live energy, but that could be because it's an acoustic version.

Wil is awesome. I saw him open for Matt in Halifax last year. I got a signed copy of Both Hands, which I have to agree doesn't capture his live energy. But it's still good.
