Covid Testing

Received an email today that someone in the MMA dojo tested positive for Covid. I am going in tomorrow am for my test. We have a place here where they come to your car and you get same day results. Has anyone had the nasal testing?  Not particularly looking forward to it.

I've had both the nasal test and the throat test done because of where I work. They're not horrible, but to be honest they're not pleasant either. Just as a warning to prepare yourself, the nasal swab has to go pretty far up your nasal cavity and it is pretty awkward/unpleasant. Most people (myself included) cough and sneeze as a result. As such you might want to have some Kleenex and hand sanitizer available for yourself right after. 

Keep us updated how your test goes if you feel comfortable sharing that info. I'll keep my fingers for a negative result for you.

Tested Negative!!!  But damn was that uncomfortable.

I get tested every two weeks for my job.  The deep nasopharyngeal swab is the most unpleasant.  You get used to it.

I am a medical professional in a long term care facility.

We've had a couple of 'close calls' where I work, but thus far, I only know one person (my aunt) who has tested positive. Thankfully, Ohio was ahead of the curve in regards to reaction in a lot of ways, and while it sucked at the time, in retrospect, a 2-month closure looks prudent to say the least.
