Best Job You Ever Had

Recommended Posts

addition to the other post, topic, or popic

what was, or is the best job you have ever had?

the coffee shop I worked was good, I'm a fan the conversations

or Target, same reason. made a lot of good impressions at both, known throughout Fargo.

so what do you got?

I worked the midnight shift at a gas station when I was like 18... it was great, pumping gas all night long (you pretty much got like 10 cars the whole night), made some tips, and the rest of the time we used to sit there and read playboy or maxim all night long, and then went and got mcdonald's next door during break, best job to have when you're 18 and don't give a crap about anything

I've had a couple of those

good times

I liked working at the Dollar Tree.

Target was awesome, that I got to just chit chat with my co-workers.

Andrew and Tim and Leyna at the Pizza Hut and any number of fellow Cashiers were cool

went on Smoke Breaks with Leyna.

KMSC 1500 AM DragonRadio was another favorite awesome job. 10 hours a week, $30 a month. Facebook and Youtube my whole shift.

Both jobs I asked people around me

"can you believe we're getting paid to do this?"

My last two jobs well including one I currently hold have been sweet.

The job before the one I have now was working at a grocery store. Now I know it doesn't sound too appealing but I worked grocery and the folks that worked with me were all my age and we had an awesome time every shift, despite it being a piss poor job.

Currently I work for Pepsi as a merchandiser/warehouse lackey. Pepsi hooks up their employees like you wouldn't believe. Over the summer four of us who work in the warehouse got free tickets to a Yankees game in New York City, 17 rows from the field behind home plate. It was absolutely amazing. Plus, the pay is good.

i really enjoy my job now, as a cashier at metro glebe (so you can all stalk me). the store and the neighbourhood its in makes a huge difference. great co-workers and management, the owner is hands on and cares about us (took us out for dinner at the black tomato last night) and the store is small so you know everyone. plus i make greater and greater seniority everyday because of the cashier turnover, so i'm on the brink of a promotion to supervisor!

I would have to say the first three jobs at my family's restaurant(9 years) at McDonalds(5 years), My uncle's security company(2 years I met Enuff Z'Nuff, Cheap Trick, KRS-1, Jazzy Jeff, King's X, and several very well known porn stars), and my first three software firms, SSI - 4yrs, FWT - 4 yrs, and EFO - 7 years.

I've only been with my new company for a little over a week, but so far it's pretty good. Downside, I'm not getting to give the hot nurse rides to work anymore, now I give her rides home on the way to work, but I do get to pick her up.

my favorite part of this post is the part where you bragged about meeting enuff z'nuff. because... people care.

You have my respect for the Faster Pussycat Big time. I just really dug Nuff's music, and they were really nice guys.

I still listen to their stuff. Hell, I still use "Baby Loves You" as a lullaby with my nieces, and nephews. I even considered "For Now" or "I Could Never Be Without You" as a b-side.

waitressing, hands down.

there was always something to do, and it never really felt like work for me.

coming home every night with my pockets full of tips was pretty nice, too.
