I got my skis waxed for free at sporting life. They have coupons that you can print off the internet to get your skis waxed for free as much as you want.

do they do a machine wax or by hand? if its by hand then you got yourself a good deal.... nothing better than FREE manual labour.

I don't know if was machine or hand... it was labeled as a "hot wax", and the list price was something like $5.75.

Pssh... dangerous my ass. I've been doing it over 10 years and haven't injured myself once.

 

Also, OTP, just for curiosity's sake, what exactly is a "machine wax"? I'm not down with all the details of ski waxing and stuff.

its a belt with wax on it and it basically just applies another layer of wax to your ski or board, it looks like a huge belt sander. its fairly inconsistent and mindless.

 

a hand wax is better for obvious reasons.

It's not really a question of "need"... and I'm not the type to give out my address and stuff over the internet anyways.

 

But just for arguments sake, how much do you think I could get the standard stuff off of you? (i.e. an iron, stand for the skis, sharpening stones + holder, scraper...)
