Yeah I don't know if you like post rock, you'd probably enjoy this. Explosions in the Sky fans, dredg fans. Really. Check it out.

It got 10? I'll never understand those Pitchfork fellas. Don't get me wrong, it's a good album and I recommend checking it out but it's not perfect. I'll check out Oceansize since Beth said it's similar to Explosions/Dredg.

Yeah, I agree with you completely!

 

Its a great album, but worth a 10? I just thought it was interesting that such a critical and presumptuous bunch would give this album that rating. I don't understand Pitchfork's standards, and I don't think they do either. O well, its still a very solid album .. but more like an 8.5 or 9.

i had that cure song from the crow soundtrack in my head most of the night at work. is that on any of their albums, or was it just for the soundtrack? i'm just now downloading the two that were posted here a while back. never listened to them before, aside from that one song. which i like. and don't have.

i know 311 have. tori amos. and maybe snake river conspiracy. a perfect circle have done a sort of version of it, by combining it with ozzy osbourne's "diary of a madman". those are the only ones i know off the bat.
