Musicians Please Be Carefull...

Recommended Posts

When I was a kid with stars in my eyes practicing 8-9 hours a day...seemed to justify the pain....now I'm 40 and in a lot of pain.

Please, pick up yer guitar or drums for a few hours and then walk away. Study books ,DVD,s hell just listen....just don't make the the same mistake I made. Carpel tunnel, nerve compression, tendinitis...no fun.

Play safe....

i already have pretty good pains in both wrists, between 14 years of guitar, manual labour jobs, and data entry, they act up pretty badly. I plan on going in for some custom ear plugs before i start building up my new amp set up.

you only get one body, treat it well.

I agree. I am a drummer and I practiced alot when I was younger some times 4-5 hours at a time, thanks to the crappy drum throne I had, and the constant sitting straight I have a lower back problem now, and thanks to working with computers for 10 years plus, there are days where it is painful to turn my wrists.
