I meant to edit and add this: It would take something very extraordinary, like an Itunes only MG release to get me to make the next logical leap. I have purchased several as gifts over the years though, and I like their libraries of just amazing stuff...

(stopped using it for about a year and a half but then I bought an iPod)

(I'm not a big fan of the Killers, that is just a weird coincidence)

4b. Least Played: there are a lot I haven't listened to since I started using iTunes again so I won't answer this

This is a combination of stuff from my old desktop PC (like first song purchase) and from when I got my MacBook in... Appril or May and started using it exclusively.

8. None, don't care enough.

10. I am a huge fan of playlists, so I have playlists for each artist, with their albums in chronological order, and for the main music page in iTunes 8, I've gone with the artist view.

I don't actually have an iTunes STORE account, and have never payed for a digital song.

Heh, it's funny you should mention this, as I deliberately turned off my "play count" setting, because it was literally driving me crazy. Whenever I got a new song, it would rise into the stratosphere, because I'd listen to it again and again, and I felt like that was an unfair advantage to my old music, which I liked just as much. Plus, when I'm on the computer, I often go and skip to the next song when the current one winds down and only has 3 seconds left, which would then make it not "count" for play count.

 

I always figured it'd be beter to have a "play time" counter, which measured the number of seconds you'd played a given song for. That way listening to a 10 minute epic isn't considered equivalent to listening to a 2-minute little dity.

 

I'm anal, I know.

I used to be the opposite, but now I like having whole albums whenever possible, which means I'm saddled with a lot of shitty filler. Ironically, a few of my Matt Good songs are probably among my least favourites (really old demos, mostly) because I'm a completist and can't stand the thoughtt of not having every song.

I refuse to look, because it'll start driving me crazy again.

 

 

10.  which options do you use to sort

 

Alphabetically by artist, and then by album within an artist.
