New Acoustic Songs Tabs

Recommended Posts

come on, folks. let's spread some love to one another. since there are some of us who like the new arrangements of songs this tour, and kind of want to learn them, we should all help each other out.

i've got a bunch figured out, so if you're looking for something, just ask, someone's gotta know how to play it.

i'm mostly looking for symbolistic white walls and sort of a protest song. any help?

Sort of A Protest acoustic is capo on the 1st, half a step down, with the high e tuned to a d. It is the exact same tuning as Can't get shot. Truffle Pigs and Fine art are in from low to high:half a step down DADGAD(thanks to drifitng influence for that one).Symbolistic acoustic from memory is just capo on the second(half a step down) and then just variations of the original chords. Em,G,d/f#,A for the verse and chorus, then outro just em/cadd9,G,d/F#. Boy come home is half a step down with the high e tuned to a d. Black Helicopter and Silent army in the trees is half a step down with capo on the second and the high e tuned to a d. Born Losers is just half a step down G,am,c,f main progression. And 99% of Us is failure is half a step down capo on the 2nd. That's about all I got off the top of my head.

I figured out shes in it for the money acoustic. This is how Matt played it in the Bear videos. Capo on First fret, or second if Half a step down. (like in the video)I'm not 100% on this at the moment as I haven't played it in a while, and I broke a couple strings on my guitar. So It sounds right how I'm playing it now, but I am without a G or B string.

Verse/Intro

Em C

Chorus

Am C Em(this is the cord that I can't remember, and I'm guessing. Maybe a )

Outro

Am C G D

Have fun!

This is Pledge, I tabbed it from the Sask. video on youtube.

Capo 2nd (half a step down plus tune high Eb down one step to Db), chords relative to capo

basically its the same progression for the intro and verses and then changes slightly for the chorus, I tuned the high Eb down to Db, I'm not sure if Matt does this, you don't really have to, I just think it's more accurate, doe whatever you think sounds better)

Verse

G/C Em(slide down to 2nd voicing) D (do this twice)

Db---0------(0orx)-(0orx)--------------------(0orx)-(0orx)-

Bb---1---------x-----0------------------------10------8----

Gb---0--------12-----7-------------------------0------0----

Db---2--0h2----0-----0-------------------------0------0----

Ab---3--------10-----5-------------------------9------9----

Eb---3---------0-----0------------------------10-----10----

Chorus

Basically the same progression but add an Am at the end,

change the voiceings thoughout if you wish

that's about it

EDIT: the tab gets screwed up a little when I post, hope you guys/gals can still read it

any requests post them here, between me and Noise Pollution I think we know almost every Matt Good song with pretty good accuracy, give or take a few

Safer Then a Bank: (one of the best)

D--A--------C--G

0--X--------0--3

3--5--------1--3

0--6h7p6-0--0

4--7--------2--0

5--X--------3--2

5--5-------(3)-3

I play champions as:

Em / C

And the slide part he plays throughout is from D to C and back again, with the C open chord shape. optional bass notes on the E string and alot of hammers on the A and D strings

Em------C------Em

0---0---0---0---0

0--/3--\1--/3---0

0---0---0---0---0

2--/4--\2--/4---2

2--/5--\3--/5---2

0--(5)-(3)-(5)--0

then: (Am) When hollywood runs out© of indians, (Em) only the indians will know

and so on.

suburbia (if i recall correctly)

tuned Eb

capo 2nd

verse: he picks through these and hammers on the b string

Am

Am

C (x32010)

some sort of B chord (x20010)

pre-chorus: strumming at the second "you would be mine"

F (x33210)

C/G (332010)

chorus: strummed

G

Am

F

C/G

he ends the chorus with another C and G then back into the verse

outro/bridge/whatever: "they'll realize..." repeated

F

C

G

G

to go back into the verse, he goes F, C, then slowly strums the G and lets it ring out til "you're missing", then do the verse again

load me up - tuned Eb

verse

D (strum with open high e then hammer on)

G

F#/G (i suck at names, but it's 2x0033)

Em/G (022033)

pre-chorus (hey are ya, are ya...)

Bm

G

repeated until "hey yeah you are" where it's an E

chorus

G

F#m

Em

bridge (all the way out)

D (open high E, xx0320)

G

F#m

E

and there's some riff he plays where he hammers on things before the third verse, but i can never hear/see it well enough to figure it out

hope this helps, and if you figure out that other part, post it

I'm trying to figure out fine art of falling apart-live/acoustic rather than CD version. Anyone have an idea about this? I believe they both played very differently, but then again my ear is very poorly trained, so I might be wrong.

far as i can tell it's the same, maybe post the version you have?

he sometimes plays it C#G#C#F#G#C#

it's just another half step down from the original DADGAD but played the same way

You're a bit off with the first part of the verse...it's actually this:

Db---0---------X-----X-------------------------X------X----

Bb---1---------0-----0------------------------10------8----

Gb---0---------0-----0-------------------------0------0----

Db---2--0h2----9-----4-------------------------0------0----

Ab---3--------10-----5-------------------------9------9----

Eb---3---------0-----0------------------------10-----10----
