I don't find that listening to demos or streams ruins anything for me. With the demos, I'm always excited to hear what they sound like when they end up recorded with proper equipment, and with streams, I'm just happy to hear music that I've been anticipating for a long time and even then, popping that CD for the first time is still fantastic to me.

I agree...I listened to the Black Helicopter demo for a year (or more?) before HM came out and was still excited to hear it for the first time on the CD.

I hope that he does not do any radical shift to iTunes. He would be annoying his fans like me, who despise iTunes and Apple, and having to make an account to download one CD, does not scream joy for me. Matt does have an Apple computer, so there is some favor to apple in his decisions, but a CD quality is something you cannot really beat.

Honestly, I'd love it if he just released the album with those 8 songs.. in the fall. It doesn't sound like a summer record. Plus, the songs are so dark and long.. a succinct tracklist like that would really make an impact.

 

Also.. if anyone has a link to download these demos.. I'd.. uh.. love that.

Honestly, if Bad Pennies had better lyrics and was sung a little cleaner, it could be a single. I wish he hadn't written it off so quickly, it's catchier than Fought To Fight it.

 

and "Love, It'll Fuck you up!" is pretty awesome.

Love it, looking forward to it.

 

Haven't listened to any of the demos, don't like listening to them... will always, always wait for the new album.

 

Hope it's a bit faster then Hospital Music, I liked Hospital Music don't get me wrong.. but it could have been faster.
