Matthew Good Band Live

Recommended Posts

damn cool! thanks. I know the pedal you're talking about, ive seen it in stores (its bright red). I'm thinking of getting a digitech multi-effects processor pedal (rp250) soon, i'm think it may have the Whammy pedal effect built in. NEAT!

BTW do you know anything about multi-effects processors for electric guitar? Are the Digitech ones good, or u recommend another thats under $200?

i've never run a multi effects unit buy you might want to look into something called the XP1000

in the 90's, after the digitech whammy 1 was discontinued, digitech released a line of pedals called the xp100, xp200, xp300, and xp400

the 100 was a whammy wah, it contained most of the digitech whammy features (but didn't track quite as well as the original whammy) and had various wah's

the 200 was called the modulation station, it had various tremolo's, choruses, etc. dave genn used this one on his audio of being recording pedal board as posted below

the 300 was called the space station, this pedal made some CRAZY sounds and i'll post a demo below

the 400 was called the reverberator and had some great reverbs on it, from making your guitar sounding like an old fender, to sounding like it was in a massive room, or a giant echo chamber

a guy in the states mods them to have all 4 pedals in one enclosure, he can mod one you have for about $160, or you can buy one for $300, i just bought mine. here is one on ebay for a good price, i think the guy that mods them offers a lifetime warranty but the switches are a bit delicate...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...hlink:middle:us

anyways, demo and dave genn pedal board content...

and the space station demo as per another forum member on another forum:

good luck on what you pick

dang that Spacestation pedal is wicked! I never knew pedals could do that kind of crazy stuff. Some of it sounds like a DJ scratching. I wish i were rich & could buy every pedal under the sun. I'm a novice guitar player, never owned a pedal before, so all the pedals are kinda confusing & overwhelming for me.

On Dave Genn's pedel board, is the big blue pedal the whammy?

These video links don't work anymore. When i try to play them it says "video was removed by the user", and why i click on the users name it says his account has been deleted. Fuck. Maybe the person couldn't handle his/her newfound fame & pulled a Dave Chappelle.

I first found a link to the biography in the info section of thevoid999's vids, so I don't think it's such crazy speculation. It does seem like they could at least be connected to the person who wrote it.

Whatever the case, it totally sucks that all those vids are gone. Thanks, mystery person, way to deprive the MG fan community of awesomeness. I'm sad now. ;)

The Truly Beautiful Disaster can do some pretty neat stuff.

Yeah, I think the person who put up the videos was either the person who wrote the biography or connected to it. He linked to it in the description of the videos. Also strange coincidence that these came down when Matt started ranting about the biography.

Yeah I also was sent a message on last.fm from "thevoid999" linking me to the matt good biography. I don't think it is coincidence that the videos went down after the rant (even if copyright violation was involved).

And I had no idea you could download youtube videos. When the hell did that start?

If you can see it or hear it, you can save it. Any protection against that is purely on the honour system (the app has to refuse to do it). On my mac I have an app called SeaTubes, which basically hijacks the flv stream out of the browser cache. You can get similar PC apps.

Did anyone manage to download these before they were taken off youtube. Other than the MMVA preformance of Load Me Up, I've never been able to find any other live footage of the Matthew Good Band.

I know. It sucks. I would give anything to see Beautiful Midnight and the Audio of Being songs performed live!!!
