PS: How much was the iMac?

 

I upgraded my computer by buying all the parts and replacing/using my old ones.

 

It came to about $400 for a 2.4ghz Intel Dual Core, 2 GB ram, 250GB Hard Drive and a Geforce 8600GTS plus a new motherboard.

 

Theoretically I could replace my CRT with a 22+ inch LCD for say $200 (a 24 inch is around $400).

 

I'm looking at the iMacs and a starting price of $1,199...

my mac is 20". it's got 4gb of ram, 250gb hard drive, core 2 duo processor (2.66 i think) and a video card that i'll never use.

 

plus it looks good.
