What Are You Thankful For?

I was kinda sad today and then I thought that it is Thanksgiving and I should think of the stuff I am thankful for. There is a bitter addendum to each of these thankfuls but for today, I'll try to focus on the good.

 

Things I am thankful for...

 

- My nephew who is the cutest thing ever.

- My Dad who is so proud of me and has supported me through school.

- My Gram who loves me more than life

- My brothers

- The time I did have with my Mom

- The fact that I had the chance to say goodbye to her

- Living in a country where I don't have to fear persecution

- All the women before us who fought so that I have the opportunities I do have today

- My health

That, while I don't particularly enjoy it, I'm visiting my family this weekend.

I'm thankful I found Caitlin, or did she find me? Other than the obvious, if it wasn't for her I'd never had met one of her friends, who has become an important friend to me.

 

I'm thankful Heather and I are still friends, even though I haven't seen her since she moved at the end of grade 10.

 

I'm thankful I had a thanksgiving dinner today.

 

I'm thankful Matthew Good made music.

 

I'm thankful I don't live under a dictatorship, or in a time of great wars.

Every year, I wonder what I am thankful for. Granted, my life COULD be a lot worse, everyone tels me to be thankful that I'm not living in Iraq or something... but just because my life isn't as bad as it could be, does that mean I have reason to be thankful?

 

 

 

 

 

Things could be worse... but they could also be a HELL of a lot better.

- My health and also the health of my family and friends

- My girlfriend

- The fact I'm not in the army anymore

- That I'll be moving in with my girlfriend in about a month

- Music

- Roof over head, food in tummy, good job, good and continuing education, good health.

- Family - including pets of course.

- Friends. Even if a couple of them use my Tiger Balm and put it on their balls.

- Music (& arts in general) & their respective makers.

- Animals

- Hugs

- Chocolate

- Tea

- Martial arts

- painkillers

- nature

- language

- incense

I'm thankful for the people in my life, and the circumstances of it.

 

Out of all my friends my family is definately the poorest, but it honestly doesn't bother me at all and I'm just really happy with what I have; food on the table, family and friends I love, etc.

i am thankful that i got to see my grandmother one last time on monday, it is more then likely the last time i will see her alive.

Thanksgiving down in the lower 48 is still a month and a half away...but I'm thankful for the following:

 

1)My healthy nieces and nephews

2)My girlfriend

3)Good friends

4) great family

5)decent job

6)Battlestar Galactica being back on the air

7)Matthew Good, Rush, The Cure, Van Halen, and Dave Matthews Band

8)Great Books

9)Being able to give time and money to charity

10)Each day the sun shines down on me

As late as this is, I'm thankful for my friends...for the turkey they brought back for me...just goes to show you who your friends are and who's thinking about you. I'm thankful for the friends in Orleans who gave me a great weekend even though I couldn't go home, and for my now girlfriend.
