Started playing Fallout 3 and it's not as good as I'd hoped. Maybe it's because I'm only level 4 and haven't blown up Megaton yet.

 

Fallout 3 is amazing ;).

 

Best game of all time.

 

Nothing like a 10% chance to hit a ghoul a mile away with your hunting rifle, connecting, crit!, watching the slowmo of head explosion.

I wouldn't go that far, but it is very very good. AI is actually pretty horrible, but unless you play like I did, you'll never notice. I played good the first time through, I explored way too much, finding almost everything, and effectively ruining it for my second run through as evil. I'd already seen 90% of the locations in the first run. Also, there aren't enough batteries around to specialise in energy weapons if you're evil and kill or enslave all the traders.

Fallout 3 is my favourite game to love to hate. I didn't really notice the effects of the bad AI, though once I finally got a "companion" I noticed that the game forced me to play in a much more FPS kind of way than I really liked. Part of the fun for me was to get the drop on the enemy, point blank with the shotgun to the face.

 

Gameplay bugs aside I felt that the game really wanted you to get into the main story and then dragged you along. It seemed to me inappropriate to just jet out of the main plot when it seemed to imply that there was critical time elements. In the end I was disappointed is way the game ended, since I felt it could have been so much more.

 

I bought rockband 2 today (I know, it's really not that new)... I've been thinking about it for a while, and they dropped the price $20, so I figured what the hell.

hey poop heads i got Xbox 360 games for sale, & i ain't trading them in to ebgames etc. for nothing. Anybody want to buy:

I'm also probably going to get rid of Halo 3: ODST soon.

 

Oh and right now i ain't playing no games cuz me gots LOTS of studying for school going on.

Dunno if you played these, some are a bit old, but Gears of War 2 was an awesome co-op game, really enjoyed that game more than the 1st Gears (though the end boss battle was way too easy). Been playing Halo 3: ODST, it has 4-player online co-op and is a pretty good game.

 

As for sandbox style, if you haven't played Crackdown for 360 thats a pretty fun co-op game. I believe Saints Row 2 also has co-op.

 

I can't get into gears, I tried playing one a little bit but it didn't click. I played through odst, it was decent. Firefight was really disappointing, the lack of any randomness to it was dull. plus the weapon placement. That coming from someone who has played like 4k games worth of h3.

 

i'm gonna check out saints row.

Playing "Alone in the Dark" right now... I'm mixed on it. Some of the puzzles and world physics are annoying. Most of the time object interaction is pretty broken. Games not too bad though. I'll play it out and then be done with it.

Borderlands and the Left 4 Dead 2 Demo have taken up my day today. I love this generation on games.

 

Oh, and adventure Island for my NES, I picked up a copy at the Central Canada Comic Con, well worth it.

I didn't mind the Brutal Legend demo, but I didn't think it was good enough to buy the game. I did laugh at the poser heavy metal band, that was pretty great. Also, when Jack Black says "Oh, have I been killing hot girls this whole time?"

Picking up Modern Warfare 2 tomorrow, and am borrowing Dead Space from my pa.

 

I'm getting Modern Warfare 2 today as well.

 

I CAN'T WAIT TO KILL SOME SHIT!!! Sometimes in those games when i can't find anyone to shoot i just start shooting the walls cuz i want to kill so bad. IT MAKES ME FEEL LIKE A REAL MAN!!!!! FUCK!!!

 

Anyone else planning to pick up the game?
